Counsellor Directory

This innovative membership service serves to promote business information about your counselling practice, specialized services and skills as well as the ability to upload a profile picture and business logo. With futurist trends heading towards a generation that seeks information online as well as a specific set of skills, knowledge and experience, the CPCA believes this directory will provide a competitive edge for marketing our member's counselling services across Canada to the public, insurance providers, EAP contractors and government for verification of your legitimacy. All members who are in "good standing" will be approved to list their contact information in the directory on an annual basis. It allows our members to login to their directory listing once it has been approved and make any changes to their contact information.

Description

Maria Enright-Castejon, MA, RPC, Counselling Therapist, CSAT

Maria Enright-Castejon is a Registered Professional Counsellor (RPC), Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), and a member of the Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta - Counselling Therapist (ACTA). She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP), an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (BA). She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

With over a decade of experience in both Canada and the United Kingdom, Maria has worked in diverse settings including acute and ambulatory care, residential treatment programs, and the criminal justice system. Her background includes work in addictions and mental health counselling, intensive case management, and community support services—particularly with underserved and marginalized populations.

Maria’s counselling style is strength-based, holistic, and integrative. She draws on a range of therapeutic modalities, including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Her approach is deeply compassionate and culturally informed, with a special focus on supporting QTBIPOC individuals and communities.

Fluent in both English and Tagalog, Maria offers services in both languages to better meet the needs of the diverse populations she serves. She brings not only professional expertise but also lived experience to her practice, fostering a warm, inclusive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic space.

Outside of her clinical work, Maria enjoys spending time with her wife, family, and their three dogs. She finds joy in the outdoors, nature-based adventures, and participating in events that celebrate and uplift the queer community.
